The broker who answers when it actually matters.

Personal and commercial short-term insurance for households and businesses anywhere in South Africa, arranged, reviewed and claimed for by Anton and Chammy Slabbert from our Alberton office. Not a call centre. Not a queue. The same two people, every time.

  • Independent advice. We compare insurers on your behalf, not sell one company’s product
  • We handle the claim with the insurer, so you don’t have to argue it alone
  • Every province served, quote on WhatsApp in a few messages, wherever you are

Three fields. We’ll pick it up from there on WhatsApp or a call, whichever you prefer.

We only ask for what we need to quote. No ID copies or proof of address at this stage. That only happens later, with a person, if you decide to go ahead.

Thank you, we’ve got it.

WhatsApp should have opened in a new tab with your details ready to send. If it didn’t, call us on 011 902 7079.

Broker vs. buying direct

A call centre sells you a policy. A broker gets you paid.

Buying direct is quick, until something goes wrong. Then you’re on your own with a policy you chose off a comparison screen, arguing about a clause you never read.

That’s the part we exist for. We set the cover up properly at the start so it responds when you need it, and we stand between you and the insurer when you claim.

Comparison of buying insurance direct versus using a broker
When…Buying directWith Micah
Choosing cover You compare, you decide, you carry the risk of getting it wrong We assess your actual exposure and recommend cover in writing
Something changes You have to remember to update it We review it with you and adjust before it becomes a problem
You claim You against the insurer’s process We lodge it, chase it and argue it on your behalf
A claim is rejected You escalate it yourself We take it up, and we know what grounds to take it up on

Claims support

What happens when you actually need to claim

This is the part most insurance websites skip. We’d rather you knew exactly how it works before you ever need it.

1

You tell us, however is easiest

WhatsApp, phone or email. You don’t need reference numbers or the right wording. Just tell us what happened.

2

We lodge it and manage the insurer

We submit the claim, gather what the assessor needs, and follow it up so it doesn’t sit in a queue somewhere.

3

We push back if we need to

If a claim is underpaid or rejected on shaky grounds, we take it up, and if it still isn’t right, we’ll tell you how to reach the FAIS Ombud.

Don’t take our word for it

South Africans check Hellopeter and Google before they trust a broker with their car, their house or their business, so that’s exactly where we’d like you to look.

Not in Gauteng? It genuinely does not matter.

Short-term insurance is arranged remotely everywhere in South Africa. We quote, advise and submit claims for clients in the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and every other province exactly as we do for the family down the road in Verwoerdpark. If an assessor needs to see your car or your premises, the insurer appoints one local to you, and we manage them from here.

Straight answers

Questions we get asked constantly

No. Brokers are paid commission by the insurer out of the premium, at rates capped by regulation, so you are generally not paying more for the same cover than you would buying it yourself. What you get on top is advice, an annual review, and someone to run the claim for you.

We will always tell you how we are remunerated on a policy if you ask. It is also set out in our conflict of interest disclosure.

To start: your name, a contactable number, and roughly what you want covered. To finalise a quote we need the specifics such as vehicle details, the address, sums insured and claims history, which we walk you through on a call or WhatsApp. We do not ask for ID copies, proof of address or bank details on a web form.

No. Our office is in Alberton, Gauteng, but our FAIS licence is national and we look after clients in every province in South Africa. Cover is arranged by phone, email and WhatsApp, so where you live does not limit the advice or the service you get.

Yes. We arrange personal and commercial short-term insurance anywhere in South Africa, including Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, Polokwane and every town in between. The insurers we work with underwrite nationally.

No. Anything submitted through this website is a request for a quotation. It only becomes advice under the FAIS Act once a licensed representative has engaged with you, understood your circumstances, and made a recommendation.

We collect the minimum we need to quote and service your policy, we use it only for that, and we do not sell it to anyone. You can ask us what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, as set out in our POPIA Privacy Policy.
